COURSE DESCRIPTION

If you find yourself letting work tasks getting on top of you and constantly feeling like there isn’t enough hours in the day, why not invest and learn the skills to manage your day better through time and personal management. Mastering these skills is essential for anyone looking to progress and take on more responsibility at work. (SG00008327 Statement of Attainment in Leadership and Management)

 

SKILL UP FROM HOME THIS SEPTEMBER!

The NSW Government is currently offering fee-free training courses* for workers who may have been stood down due to the current lockdown. The Change Network is proud to be one of the providers approved by the Department of Education to deliver a number of short courses under the Skill Up From Home initiative.

These courses are designed to help you gain a competitive advantage for the next exciting step in your career!

It’s time to prepare yourself for the future.

AM I ELIGIBLE?

If you’ve lost your job due to the current COVID lockdown or are on JobSaver, then you are eligible to register for one of our selected training courses, run by our leading training experts, completely free of charge!

In addition, applicants will need to meet the Smart and Skilled criteria as follows:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or humanitarian visa holder, and

  • 15 years or older

  • No longer in full time education

  • Currently living or working in New South Wales

DELIVERY MODE

These courses will be delivered completely online (via zoom or teams) to comply with current stay at home orders.

WHAT DO I NEED?

To enrol in one of our courses you will need access to a personal computer, laptop or tablet, a stable WiFi connection, the ability to stream video, or have Zoom downloaded and installed.

UNITS OF COMPETENCY

This course will provide participants with critical skill sets in organisation and time management, and give an overall introduction into personal health and wellbeing. The two topics go hand in hand, and this is a critical skill set that all individuals need to develop during this time to be able to maintain a positive mindset.

Units of Competency:

BSBPEF401 – Manage personal health and wellbeing
BSBPEF402 – Develop personal work priorities

This course is scheduled to be delivered over 6 weeks, as follows:

  • Online learning facilitation – 1 x 2 hour session per week. Totalling 12 hours learning time.

  • Self-paced Directed Learning – participants will be required to complete additional self-directed learning courses throughout the duration of the course.

  • Final Assessment – participants will receive an assessment workbook that incorporates a set of tasks for completion. Tasks include a combination of written/verbal questions and simulation tasks.

By completing this course participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (SoA) for the relevant units of competency.

START DATES

The start dates for this course are

Option 1: Tuesdays 4pm - 6pm, 21st September for 6 sessions, completion on the 26th of October 

 

Option 2: Thursdays 12pm –2pm, 23rd September for 6 sessions, completion on the 28th of October

Option 3: Thursdays 4pm –6pm, 23rd September for 6 sessions, completion on the 28th of October

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER ENROLMENT 

1.  A welcome email outlining your course, the calendar and other relevant info you need to know.

2.  A link to a literacy and numeracy quiz that you must complete prior to commencing the program. This will allow The Change Network to ensure you are set up for success.

 

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.

WHAT IF I AM NOT ELIGIBLE?

Interested in doing the course but not eligible for the government funding? *. You can still complete the course, however you will be required to pay the upfront course cost of $768.

 

*Please note that student visa holders are not eligible for the course.
